Room to Restore: How Geelong Animal Referral Services Scaled Fast, Twice Over
Geelong Animal Referral Services (GARS) isn't just your neighbourhood vet; it's the hospital other vets call when a case gets complicated. The Newtown-based team handles surgery, neurosurgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, oncology and 24/7 emergency care, and they're recognised as one of the leaders in total joint replacement.
GARS has expanded more than once to meet high demand, and each time the same problem arises: how do you keep up with growth when you outgrow your physical space? A full building fit-out was never going to move fast enough, so it was time for a new solution. Enter our Studio Rooms: standalone, ready to go, and set up whenever the extra consult space was needed most.
For the past 12 months, the two portable rooms have earned their keep. As the practice grew, they picked up the overflow. What’s more, with GARS mid-renovation, they've taken on double the duty by supporting staff with a proper workspace while the works are in progress.
But this wasn’t just about solving a spacing issue. It’s how the pods feel: warm and more inviting than a typical room-after-room clinic layout. As standalone rooms separate from the main building, they also add an extra layer of privacy. This matters a lot, particularly in a vet setting, where clients are often anxious and genuinely need a private space that calms the nerves.
Twice through expansion and now through a full renovation, our Studio Rooms have let GARS grow at the pace and scale a clinic actually needs to. Without colleagues and clients having to compromise on the comfort or privacy needed along the way.
